This is a unique opportunity to learn about influential people in the wine industry and experience French wine and food at its finest.
We’re pairing French wines from the Kermit Lynch portfolio with a menu based on recipes from Richard Olney's “Ten Vineyard Lunches” book. Lyle Railsback, National portfolio manager for Kermit Lynch, will be joining us from New York to share these special wines and the cultural influence of these two men.
The Kermit Lynch name has become synonymous with French and Italian wines. Attracted by the Old World wine cultures of Europe, Kermit became a retailer, distributor, and national importer in 1972. Richard Olney introduced Lynch to many French wine growers.
More about the book and author of “Ten Vineyard Lunches”:
A celebration of French food and wine, this is a very personal collection of French provincial dishes combined with professional guidance on the wines to serve with them. About the Author: Richard Olney (1927 – 1999) was an American painter, cook, food writer, editor, and memoirist, best known for his books of French cooking. Olney lived in the village of Solliès-Toucas in Provence, France, for most of his adult life, where he wrote many classic and influential cookbooks of French country cooking. Richard has been writing about wine and food since 1951, and his previous books include "The French menu cookbook", "Simple French food" and "Yquem.”
